Microsoft claims being ready to offer a choice of several web browsers on its flagship operating system, to settle a dispute with the European Union.
Indeed The world’s leader of computer technology has agreed to offer in future a choice between several web browsers on Windows operating system, in order to avoid problems with the European Union, and of course avoid huge fines.
The group proposes”to install a multi choice window as a solution to the antitrust investigation on the integration of Internet Explorer on Windows.”
Brussels accuses Microsoft of taking advantage of systematically integrating Internet Explorer in Windows, which is the operating system of 90% of personal computers in the world.

The Redmond firm obtained an unfair advantage to its competitors such as Firefox (Mozilla), Chrome (Google) and Opera (Opera Software).
The European Commission has opened an investigation against Microsoft, arguing that the group’s proposals were insufficient. Even if it “welcomes this proposal, the Commission gives itself time to consider this alternative before making its ruling.

Microsoft has been repeatedly condemned by the European competition for anti-competitive practices and not providing technical information about Windows to competitors to enable them to develop compatible softwares .
But things are about to change, and gone are the days when we used to find only IE as a browser on windows operating systems .
